i've seen them for a long time

ever since i was small
i seen live people

i couldn't tell anybody what i saw
because then i would be labeled as queer

and i tried to go unoticed
so i didn't tell anybody
that i saw live people
because then they would think me weird
and they might even lock me up
like they did my aunt jo

i knew my aunt jo
and she knew i saw live people

she grabbed me one time and
pulled me in the closet
